URGENT STUDENT SAFETY NOTICE: Bear Sighting Reported in Navajo, NM
Dear Parents and Guardians,
The safety of our students and staff remains our highest priority. We have been informed of bear activity in the Navajo area and are taking proactive measures to ensure student safety.
A significant concern involves students who walk to and from school. Parents and guardians are encouraged to:
Arrange carpools or supervised walking groups whenever possible.
Ensure students walking with others rather than alone.
Report wildlife sightings near student routes immediately to local schools and local authorities.
Our local emergency responders are in the area to support. If you have further questions, please call 505-721-3500/3501.
🏃♂️ The wait is almost over! Practice kicks off Monday, August 17th, and we cannot wait to see everyone! ⚡ Before your 5th- or 6th-grade student can hit the court, make sure they have a sports physical on file with our school nurse—it's a must-have to participate. 💪
